GTI-NI Show 2009

tsar

For the second year running a car flying the flag for Rule 6 has lifted the “Best Aircooled” trophy at the annual GTI-NI show at Castlewellan!!!

Huge Congrats to Tsar ( Dirty1) for winning the award and also for displaying the Spirit of Rule 6 by being under his bug replacing his rear drums mere hours prior to making the journey from the South for the show!

Thanks as always to everyone who made the effort and turned up this year to represent Rule6 at Northern Irelands Largest V.A.G.  Show, at Rule 6 people representing is always appreciated and NEVER taken for granted ;)

Whilst it RAWKS for a first place to be brought home for the trophy cabinet a show is never about winning pots, its about taking part and representing, showing others that Rule 6 folks arent afraid to go against the grain and do things a bit differently ;)

Thankyou once again to the folks at GTI-NI for including us at their show, again as always the invite is appreciated and never taken for granted ;)

Summer is here!!!!

Whilst most sites are beggin people to log in and hang around, the sun is shining outside, here at Rule6 we would like ya’all to log off and go play in the sun, enjoy the weather while it lasts folks!!! the internet will always be there when night or rain comes :)

have fun, dont forget to take pics though…pics can replace a thousand words and can help inspire others to go outside and do something less boring instead !

New site….New rules!

 *****PLEASE READ*****

Here it is, Rule6 v.II

A new site for a new year, we have put a lot of time into getting this site up and running in the background and as always Rule6 is paid for and run by myself and adrian, it is hosted by Nefarious and managed by our admin team.
We run this site for free and expect nothing in return, with the exception of respect for others using the site and for people to have fun.

We have been working hard behind the scenes to get the new site up and running and at this point we have to thank Project|horizon and Nefarious for all their help with the new images and setting up of the new site, thanks guys!

There arenow over 400 bona fide and awesome people on the site and our wish is for everyone to enjoy the new site.

so here it is Rule6V.II go forth and enjoy

By entering the site you agree to the following rules:

NO Politics - any mention of politics or conversations pertaining to it will be instantly deleted without an explanation

NO Religion - Same as above anything pertaining or relating to religion will be deleted without an explanation.

Both of the above rules are in place as having grown up in Northern Ireland, most of us are fed up with arguments caused by both, this is not meant to cause any disrespect to anyone who is political or religious, its just the way it is.

NO chat in the for sale forum - again…it will be deleted.

NO for sales comments anywhere in the forum except in the junkyard, any others will be deleted without explanation.

NO flagrant disregard for the rules - if this happens an automatic ban will be imposed without explanation

NO porn or links to porn..full stop, the same applies to bit-torrent sites and anything else of an illegal nature.

And finally, Rule6 ain’t a democracy, you don’t get to make up the rules..we do, if you don’t like them, may we suggest you log out now as, whilst we run this place free of charge for people to enjoy, we will not have it taken for granted or abused ;)

so…if you think you can abide by the rules listed above, welcome aboard :)

These simple rules are in addition to the ones that you agreed to when registering.

Now Rule6 is about having fun and with that in mind can we ask all users to treat other users and the site owners/ admin team with respect, we are ( on the whole) all here for our love of cars, music, partying, racing, kustom kulture and art, the few that aren’t should be under no illusion where they stand right now..

on one final note, on Rule6 we believe in peoples privacy, your email addresses and personal details will not be shared with anyone and pms will never be accessed unless it is required by a criminal investigation.

Screw the haters…enjoy YOUR new forum

Koolest Krooze 2009

On a cold day in January some of the members of Rule 6 headed out to participate in a scatter hunt in aid of Brads Cancer Foundation.

Over £300 was raised for BCF on the day with prizes kindly donated by members of Rule 6, Ireland Aircooled and various local businesses.

A message after the event from Brads family…

“Firstly wanted to say a HUGE thanks to the barefoot chef, Jacqui Paul & Nic (Mr & Mrs Utting30) for all their hard work and effort in getting the Krooze organised and promoting around the country and to all the various organisers for your time and hard work it is greatly appreciated

Secondly after reading the threads from all you guys that turned out today again a massive thanks for your hard work and efforts in supporting us.

Seeing everyone at the East Midlands Krooze enjoying themselves, the one and only Mr Jenson D Groover making a guest appearence to present the prizes ( although the people visiting the venue for their wedding were a bit confused when he tried to present them with a prize ), and hearing the reports from Northern Ireland in the SNOW!!! and all the threads from the other kroozes up and down the UK has totally blown us away.

Once again the VW/VZi community has shown what a generous, warm, friendly and caring community they are.

Brad would be proud of you all thanks again

much love

Mick Sue & Zach xx”

A great day and one that will be followed with another scatter hunt in aid of BCF and run in conjunction with GTI-NI later in 2009.

Cheers

Mid Winter Solstice Camp Out

21st December 2008, 6 buses headed off into the cold winters night, 45 minutes later they pitched up on a clifftop facing Scotland across the sea, a fire was lit, food was prepared and the return to light was celebrated as it has been every year for the past 4 years.

Thanks to those who braved the longest night of the year and helped continue the traditions of our fore fathers alive and forge forward with new traditions of our own.

At the end of October 2008, The North Coast Hot Rod Shop played host for the fourth year to RAWKTOBERFEST, as per the previous years, people travelled from all four corners of Ireland and also from England to attend our annual Halloween party.

Entertainment for the night was supplied courtesy of the Rule6 fire performers and the Hovercraft Pirates, the Hovercraft Pirates fresh from their album launch and playing on the Vans Warped tour in America played an outstanding set on the night.

We can hand on heart state categorically that this was the best RAWKTOBERFEST to date, roll on RAWKTOBERFEST V on Halloween night 2009!!!

A huge thanks to everyone who made the effort to support the event again ;-)
